Eric Buan is an engineer with training and interest in environmental management. He recently joined IndEco to pursue his interests in environmental management and the promotion of environmentally proactive activities among residents, business and industry.
Among his current projects, Eric is further developing tools IndEco has developed to assist industry in annual emission reporting and assisting an LDC with the energy efficiency aspects of a rate applications. Specifically, he is working on a third-party evaluation of its estimates of life-cycle benefits and annual energy savings in order to calculate revenue adjustments and incentives it is entitled to.
Prior to joining IndEco, Eric's experience includes: quantifying GHGs from agricultural crops, working with an R&D company that focuses on finding environmentally friendly ways of preventing acid mine drainage from iron mines, and performing research in the preservation of historical documents stored in the Czech Republic National Archives.
With an undergraduate degree in Engineering Chemistry from Queen’s University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Applied Science and Management from Ryerson University, Eric is well prepared to work with both technical and strategy based projects.
