CDM 5: CDM Programming

IndEco will be providing the instruction for the MEARIE course on conservation and demand management (CDM) programming. The course will provide an in-depth look into the planning, design and delivery of CDM programs. Participants will learn about the tools needed to plan, design and deliver a CDM program or portfolio of CDM programs.
Course outline:
- Types of CDM programs (e.g. resource acquisition, market transformation, capability building)
- Elements of effective program design (e.g. eligibility, intake and application, administration, program metrics and tracking
- Potential studies and market research
- Benefit cost tests
- Strategic partnerships
- Hiring vendors and contractors
- Delivery agent selection and contracting
- Implementer roles and responsibilities
- Program operations/organizational structure
- Program tracking
CDM Programming is one of seven courses being offered by The MEARIE Group that IndEco staff will be leading. Participants that successfully complete all seven CDM based training courses will be eligible for a MEARIE CDM Specialist Certificate.
